SHELTON, Conn. — The 11th season of “Over the River and Through the Woods” at Center Stage Theatre in Shelton is underway.
The show runs through April 24 with performances at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays, with a 7 p.m. show on April 21.
The off-Broadway comic-drama is about a tight-knit, Italian-American family who shares Sunday dinners in New Jersey. When the grandson announces he’s leaving Hoboken and moving to Seattle to accept a promotion, he sends both sets of grandparents into a tailspin -- and they pull out all the stops to persuade him to stay.
This story of love and family is a reminder that the important life lessons come from the most important people in a person's life.
The production features Shelton High School and Western Connecticut State University graduate Kyle Attanasio, as well as two Shelton teachers -- Rosemary Pagliaro and Erica McNeil.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students.
