SHELTON, Conn. — The Shelton Trails Committee will host its annual Marshmallow March Sunday at the Shelton Land Conservation Trust’s Nicholdale Preserve on Route 110.

This is the first time there has been no snow cover in this event's history, but participants should be prepared for possible wet and even mushy ground, so please use proper footwear to stay dry.

Parking will be on either side of the residence at 322 Leavenworth Road.

The hike starts at 1 p.m. and should be finished by 3 p.m. A fire, marshmallows and cocoa will be provided at the Scout camp. Dogs on a leash are welcome.

Future trails events include the Wildflower Hike at the Birchbank Trail on April 3, an announcement for the 2016 Shelton Trails Marathon in early May, and the National Trails Day Hike on June 4. Details will be posted at http://sheltontrailscom.blogspot.com/.
