Rabe has written more than 160 children’s books for “Sesame Street,” Disney, “Blue’s Clues,” “Curious George,” “Huff and Puff” and many more.

Five years after the death of Dr. Seuss, she was asked by Dr. Seuss Enterprises to create The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, a line of rhyming science books for early readers.

A television series based on those books, “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about That,” airs on PBS Kids.

The free event is being presented by The Southwest Chapter of the Connecticut Authors & Publishers Association.
