FAIRFIELD County, Conn. — Nothing says Independence Day like fireworks. And displays are planned in many Fairfield County from Friday through July 4th.

Here is a schedule — be sure to mark the date: 

Friday, June 30th

Danbury: Danbury Fair Mall, 7 Backus Ave., dusk (Rain date is July 3.)

Ridgefield: The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department's display at sundown at East Ridge Middle School.

Stamford: Cummings Park at 9 p.m. (Rain date is July 1.)

Stratford: Short Beach Park at 9 p.m. (Rain date is July 5.)

Saturday, July 1st

Darien: Darien High School, gates open at 6:30 p.m. (Rain date is July 2)

Greenwich: Greenwich Point and Binney Park at dusk. (Rain date is July 2)

Redding: Rock'n Roots Revival at Lonetown Farm & Museum, 43 Lonetown Road, after dusk. (Rain date is July 2.)

Sunday, July 2nd

Fairfield: Penfield and Jenning Beaches at 9:15 p.m. (Rain date is July 3)

Monday, July 3rd

Bridgeport: Bridgeport Bluefish game at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard, after the game. (No rain date) 

Norwalk: Calf Pasture Beach at dusk. (Rain Date is July 5)

Shelton: At the Riverwalk, with a free concert from 7 to 9 p.m.

Westport: Compo Beach at 9 p.m. (Rain Date is July 5)

Tuesday, July 4th

New Canaan: Waveny Park at dusk. (Rain Date is July 5)

Norwalk: Bayley Beach at 9:15 p.m. (Rain date is July 5)

Ridgefield: Ridgefield High School, gates open at 6 p.m. (Rain date is July 5)  

Wilton: Wilton High School at 9:30 p.m. (Rain date is July 5)
