Entertainment was provided by the Center Stage Theater, cider and cookies were available, Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti spoke to the crowd, and children attending got to visit with Santa.
"This is a pretty important event for our city," Lauretti told Daily Voice. "It has been for years... and the Christmas spirit can be seen here, absolutely. I think in this day and age, more now than ever, with all of the turmoil around the world, people need a little uplifting.
"And when you can bring community and families together... just look at the faces around here - that's part of what we're trying to accomplish."
