The community is invited to the monthly winter market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the city-owned and heated Shelton Farmers Market building at 100 Canal St.

Customers can pick up fresh Connecticut-made farmer's cheese, goat milk, veal, pork and beef cuts, eggs and more.

Handmade wool products, soaps, lavender and other items are also available.

Also on hand: GROW Shelton/Liquid Lunch, Joe Ballaro of Bar 140, and Seasonal Sweets and Catering. Meats and vegetables from Stone Gardens Farm of Shelton are also on the menu.

The indoors market will be held the first Saturday of the month through April. A snow date of the second Saturday will be announced if necessary on social media. The weekly market will begin again in May, organizers said.

Community members can join the Shelton Connecticut Farmers Market Association for an annual membership fee of $20 to show support for the producer-only market.
