Shelton's Indoors Farmers Market Dishes Up Fresh Meat, Dairy And More

SHELTON, Conn. — Shelton held its own winter Farmers Market at the city-owned Farmers Market Building on Saturday, celebrating the New Year with fresh Connecticut-made farmer's cheese, goat milk, veal, pork and beef cuts, eggs and more.

Handmade wool products, soaps, lavender and other items were also available, and live entertainment was provided by Shelton's own Better Than Dirt band.

The indoors market will be held the first Saturday of the month from January through April from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.  A snow date of the second Saturday will be announced if necessary on social media. The weekly market will begin again in May, organizers said. 

The heated Farmers Market Building is located at 100 Canal St.
