Save The Date: Stratford Plans Holiday Lighting Festival

STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford will light up the night later this month at the annual Holiday Lighting Festival.

The festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m., Nov. 27 with seasonal tunes from students at Johnson Academy and the Stratford High School Select Choir at Town Hall.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive via fire truck around 6 pm. when city leaders switch on the twinkling holiday display.

There will be arts and crafts for children and a chance for them to whisper their wishes to jolly ‘ole St. Nick.

Photos with the Christmas couple, free gifts for kids and cocoa and doughnuts will also be available.

Sponsors for the special night include People’s Bank, Donut Crazy, Honey Bear Learning Center and Mogelof Dental Group.

A holiday family program is planned before the tree lighting at 4 p.m. at the Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street.  Mad Science will have a Winter Wonder Lab.
