Carlos Salgado, of 719 Washington Ave., was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. He was wearing a seat belt.
The accident happened at about 7 a.m. when Salgado was northbound lost control of a 2008 Honda Civic about a mile south of Exit 59 in Or, state police said.
The car went from the left lane, veered off the right shoulder, tore through a wire guardrail and struck two trees in a wooded area off the road, state police said. The car began to roll and hit the second tree with its roof, state police said.
He was extricated from the vehicle by the Orange Fire Department, state police said.
