SHELTON, Conn. -- As the weather warms this spring and with summer approaching, the Shelton Farmers Market is offering a variety of seasonal produce from the area's best growers.
While finding the best fruits and vegetables, those attending market will also come across meat, eggs, cheese, pies, breads, muffins, cookies, teas, spices, BBQ sauce, popcorn, flowers and handmade goods, according to the market's website.
The weekend events, which run from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. each Saturday at 100 Canal St., also feature live music, events for children, live cooking demonstrations and seasonal festivals.
The summer season's opening festival is scheduled for June 4. The markets are expected to run weekly until Thanksgiving.
