The victim was attacked by four assailants — one of whom had a handgun — and then restrained with zip-ties and mouth taped with duct tape, police said.

A large sum of cash and clothing were reported taken in the incident at 3:30 a.m. April 12 at the hotel at 111 Schoolhouse Road, police said.

On Tuesday, Jacqueline Steck, 18, of 9 Ellis St., Milford, was arrested and charged with home invasion, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, and first-degree larceny.

Steck was held on $250,000 bond for an April 26 appearance in Milford Superior Court.

It was a planned meeting with a woman, whom the victim knew only on a first-name basis, according to the Connecticut Post.

When the woman arrived at the victim’s motel door, three Hispanic men were with her, the Post said. Additional arrests were expected.
