The shooting occurred just after 8 p.m. at Platt Street and Ryon Street, police told the Post, and the man was treated at St. Vincent's Medical Center.

The man told police he was shot by three armed robbers, but a police spokesman said there was no evidence of a robbery and said it "looks like victim suffered a self-inflicted wound," the Post said.
