Do You Know Him? Fairfield Police Seek Suspect In Wallet Thefts

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police are searching for a man believed to have stolen wallets and cash at supermarkets in Fairfield and Westport.

This man is suspected of stealing wallets and cash from carts at Stop & Shop and Whole Foods in Fairfield and Westport.

Fairfield police released an image of the suspect and his car taken from Stop & Shop surveillance.

On Nov. 19, several Stop & Shop and Whole Foods customers told Fairfield police their wallets or cash had been removed from their handbags while they were shopping.

Some of the wallets were later found together in the Stop & Shop parking lot, but cash was missing, police said.

Similar incidents were reported in Westport.
