Joseph Uglietto, 25, of 21 Edmunds Way, Belmont, is charged with second-degree harassment and violation of a protective order. He posted a court set bond of $150,000 after turning himself in to police Wednesday and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Easton Police said they were contacted Jan. 1 by an Easton resident who said she was receiving harassing text messages from the suspect. She told police that he wasn't allowed to contact her in any manner due to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Hawaii.

Easton Police immediately obtained an arrest warrant, and Uglietto turned himself in, police said.

Police said Uglietto was first arrested in Honolulu on Oct. 24, on several domestic violence charges, including kidnapping, three counts of first degree sexual assault, and two counts of third degree sexual assault.

He is a former member of the University of Hawaii scout team as a placekicker.

According to a Hawaii News Now story from October, he is accused of sexually assaulting an ex-girlfriend in September. He is also accused of harassing her before that, including allegedly threatening to release nude photos of her on the Internet. Click here to read the story.
