Fairfield Cops: Man Charged After Throwing Ice Cubes, Smacking Woman's Rear

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man threw ice cubes at a bouncer, slapped a woman’s buttocks and got in a standoff with her boyfriend after he attempted to leave a Sanford Street eatery with a drink, police said.

Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, officers investigating a domestic dispute down the street noticed men yelling and a large crowd gathering outside Archie Moore’s Bar & Restaurant, police said.

More officers responded and learned that Benjamin Quinones, 23, of had been stopped when he tried to leave Crave, another bar and restaurant down the street, with a drink in his hand, police said.

Quinones argued with Crave’s security, throwing ice from the drink at a bouncer. He then moved down the street, striking the woman’s behind before getting into an argument with her boyfriend, police said.

Quinones struggled with officers and was eventually charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer, police said.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 18.
