Fairfield Driver Flips Car On Westport Turnpike

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield woman trying to avoid a car exiting a Westport Turnpike driveway ended up hitting a snowbank and flipping her car Friday morning, police said.

The driver, a 39-year-old Westport Turnpike resident, was traveling east on Westport Turnpike around 9:30 a.m. when she tried to maneuver around a car coming out of a driveway, police said.

Her car clipped a snowbank, hit a stone wall and flipped onto its roof, coming to rest in the roadway, police said.

No one was injured, but the driver was given a summons for failure to grant right of way from a private driveway.
