Fairfield Police: Bridgeport Woman Charged In Four-Car Crash

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport woman was arrested Friday after she caused a four-car crash near the Bridgeport/Fairfield border, police said.

Erica Haba, 54, of Midland Street, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and following too close after the 11 a.m. pileup at the intersection of Black Rock Turnpike and Commerce Street, police said.

Haba was traveling northbound on Black Rock Turnpike when she ran into a line of three cars waiting at a stoplight, police said.

Haba, who officers said was impaired at the scene, was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for evaluation, police said.

She was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 26.
