Officers responded to the bank branch at 247 Boston Post Road just before 11 a.m. Monday on a report of a robbery, police said.

A black or Hispanic man wearing jeans, a baseball cap, and a light-colored shirt approached a teller and demanded money, police said. He did not display or imply that he had a weapon, police said.

The suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of money and fled west on foot toward the Firelight Plaza, police said.

The Orange Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect, who is pictured in surveillance photos from the bank.

Anyone with any information on the suspect or the robbery is asked to contact Detective Sean Murphy at 203.891.2138 or via email at smurphy@orange-ct.gov.
