Home In Bridgeport Heavily Damaged In Smoky Fire

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A two-and-a-half-story home on Whitney Avenue in Bridgeport was heavily damaged in a smoky fire Friday afternoon, according to the Connecticut Post. 

The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to a house fire on Carver Street early Wednesday morning, according to NBC Connecticut.

Heavy smoke was pouring out of the home when firefighters arrived after 1 p.m., the Post said. It took about 40 minutes to knock down the fire, which was on the second and third floors, the Connecticut Post said.

No one was found inside the private home, the Post said.
