Jermaine Lewis, 39, of Waterbury, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant. He was charged with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and risk of injury.

Lewis is accused of "dragging a juvenile into the beach water at Walnut Beach and dunking the juvenile under the water several times," Milford police said.

The victim believes that the incident stemmed from Lewis stepping into a hole that had been dug on the beach and covered with a towel, police said.

The incident occurred June 11.
