Giovanni Negron, 31, of Winnepoge Drive, Fairfield, was charged with failure to keep drugs in the original container when police found him in possession of suboxone, an opioid, police said.

An officer had stopped the car driven by Jennifer Tur-Rojas, 34, of Fairfield, on Stratfield Road because he did a routine check on the car’s registration and it came back that Tur-Rojas, the owner, didn’t have a valid license, police said.

She was charged with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.

Tur-Rojas was released on a promise to appear in court on July 24.

Negron, who is scheduled to appear in court on July 19, was turned over to State Police, who had an active warrant for his arrest on a sixth-degree larceny charge, police said.
