Police: Man Shot In Head Crashes Into Ambulance In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A man who had been shot in the head and was driving crashed his car into an ambulance Wednesday evening in Bridgeport, according to the Connecticut Post.

The crash occurred near Central and Barnum Avenues just before 8 p.m., police told the Post.

The man, who was heavily bleeding, may have been trying to drive himself to the hospital, the Connecticut Post said. 

The condition of the man, who was being treated at Bridgeport Hospital, was not known, the Post said.

Many streets in the area were blocked off while the investigation continued late Wednesday into the crash and the shooting, the Post said.
