Monroe officers responded to a hold-up alarm at 6 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Employees reported that just before closing, a man entered the bank and demanded cash from a bank teller, police said. The suspect, described as a white man age 25 to 30, displayed a handgun, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

Police issued a be-on-the-lookout alert to neighboring towns for the truck cab, which had no trailer attached, the Connecticut Post said.

"We are continuing to investigate the incident," Monroe police said in a statement.
