Shelton Firefighters Respond To Route 8 Accident

SHELTON, Conn. – Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company 1 and other members of the Shelton Fire Department dealt with a one-car accident on Route 8 late Thursday afternoon.

Along with Company 1, Company 3 responded to the accident call about 5:30 p.m., as the incident happened on Route 8 north between exits 11 and 12.

When crews got there, they found one person outside the car and one inside, they removed the rear door to get the person out.

Both people were transported safely to the hospital by Shelton Emergency Medical Service.
