Firefighters from Derby, Shelton and Stratford used ATVs and boats to search for the woman until 8 p.m. when the call was declared unfounded when the woman was found safe elsewhere, said the Valley Independent Sentinel.

The incident began when a family member told police the woman was considering committing suicide and might be heading for the river, added the Valley Independent Sentinel.
