Alexis Sanchez, 23, was arrested Thursday, July 7, near Bricks and Barley, an eatery located at 441 Howe Ave.

Police patrolling the area responded to an alarm there around 2:30 a.m. and found that the rear door had been kicked in, police said.

Cash had been taken from the office, police said.

Sanchez was spotted fleeing from the scene and arrested after a brief foot chase, police said.

He was charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, interfering with an officer, sixth-degree larceny and possession of burglary tools.

The stolen cash was recovered, police said.

The restaurant had also been broken into late June, police said.

That incident is still under investigation.
