Shelton's Echo Hose Douses Burning Garbage Truck

SHELTON, Conn. — Companies 1 & 4 from Echo Hose Hook & Ladder quickly put out a fire in garbage truck on Tuesday evening, according to a fire department statement.

The garbage truck fire was reported on Oliver Terrace at about 6:45 p.m. Jan. 3, the statement said. 

Engine 2 arrived to find a well-involved garbage truck fire. The crew went to work to quickly knock down the blaze, the statement said. 

Squad 1 arrived shortly after to assist. Crews remained on the scene for a short while afterward.
