Suspect Robbed, Assaulted Dunkin' Employee At Parkway Rest Area

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. — A suspect assaulted and robbed an employee at a Dunkin' Donuts at a rest area on the Wilbur Cross Parkway early Tuesday, state police said.

At 4:50 a.m., troopers from Troop I - Bethany responded to the rest area in North Haven for a reported robbery. 

The suspect walked into the Dunkin' Donuts and demanded money from the employees, state police said. He then assaulted an employee, causing minor injuries, state police said. 

The suspect was a black man in his 20s, and was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and sneakers with red soles, police said. 

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
