Shelton Voters Re-Elect Incumbents To State Legislature

SHELTON, Conn. — Shelton voters sent incumbent state legislators back to Hartford in Tuesday's election.

In State Senate District 21, Republican incumbent Kevin C. Kelly defeated Democratic challenger Prez Palmer.

In State House District 113, Republican incumbent Jason Perillo defeated Democratic challenger Adam M. Heller.

In local Shelton elections, John "Jack" Finn, a Democrat, and Peter Pavone, a Republican, were elected as registrars of voters.

In the 3rd District of the U.S. House, Republican challenger Angel Cadena fell to Democrat incumbent Rosa DeLauro. 

In the 4th District of the U.S. House, Rep. Jim Himes, a Democrat, defeated a challenge from Republican John Shaban of Redding, who did not run for re-election to the State House due to his Congressional run.

For the U.S. Senate, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, won re-election by topping Republican challenger Dan Carter of Bethel. Carter did not seek re-election to the State House due to his Senate run.
