Platt Tech Stages Mock DUI Crash

MILFORD, Conn. -- Platt Tech High School School Resource Officer Kat Cummings staged a mock DUI crash to students on Friday.

Students were given a background story about victims consuming alcohol before Prom and driving the car while intoxicated. 

The school staff, students, State Police Troop I, Milford Police, Orange Police, Milford Fire Department, Milford EMS, & Yale New Haven Health medical transport (helicopter) all participated to ensure the "real" scene management. Cosmetic students created makeup for the victims as well.

Platt Tech accepts students from Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Shelton and Trumbull.
