Olivia Holm, 15, of Old Greenwich, recently earned the title of Overall U16 National Champion at the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association’s U16 Championships held at Maine's Sugarloaf Mountain.

The Championships, held March 31 to April 3, featured races in Super-G, Slalom, Giant Slalom as well as a Skills Quest event. Holm won the Super-G event from a back bib position of 31. She also claimed the Giant Slalom race by out skiing the field by an impressive 2.43 seconds. She won a silver medal in the Skills Quest. These top performances gave her the title of Overall U16 National Champion.

Earlier this season, Holm, a sophomore at Stratton Mountain School in Stratton, VT,  was selected by USSA to represent the United States at the Alpe Cimbra FIS Children Cup in Folgaria, Italy.

This prestigious event, formerly known as Topolino, boasts past winners such as Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn. Holm won the Silver Medal in Giant Slalom at the cup, just behind Erika Pykalainen of Finland.
