Axe-Wielding Man In Fairfield Captured After Foot Pursuit A 35-year-old man allegedly wielding an axe at a gas station in Fairfield County was apprehended by police after a foot chase. The incident occurred in Fairfield around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at Hemlock Hardware at 1860 Post Road. According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police officers responded to the hardware store after receiving a report of a suspicious man. Man Found Dead Floating In Hamden Lake Police are investigating after a man's body was found floating in a lake in Connecticut. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 11:15 a.m., Monday, April 15, at Lake Whitney in Hamden, near Hartford Turnpike and Rogers Road.
