SHELTON, Conn. – Shelton resident Michael Sciamanna, vice president and market manager of Coastal Valley banking centers, has been named to the Fairfield County Business Journal’s “40 Under 40 Award” list for 2016.
The 12th annual honor was presented June 21 at the Dolce Norwalk Hotel and Conference Center in Stamford, Connecticut. Sciamanna was selected from nearly 100 finalists who work in Fairfield County in a variety of industries.
“He's a self-starting individual with a proven track record of consistently meeting targets,” said Denise Kaufman, senior vice president and manager of the western region banking center markets. “Mike's honest and sincere approach to everything he does is refreshing. Relationships are important to him, whether it is his customers or the kids he coaches. Working with people to achieve excellent results is what matters most to Mike.”
Sciamanna joined Webster in 2012 as the manager of the Monroe office and has worked his way up the ranks. In his current positon, he is in charge of 16 offices and more than 21,000 customer households. A resident of Shelton, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business and minored in marketing and sports management from Sacred Heart University. He is also a graduate of the Greater Valley leadership program.
Living up to the communities he serves, Sciamanna coaches youth sports, is the lead instructor for Junior Achievement in Shelton, participates on Webster’s United Way Leadership Board and was recognized as the 2013 Volunteer of the Year.
