On Jan. 8, a woman told officers she left her purse inside her car outside St. Lawrence Church in Shelton. When she returned, the purse was gone.

Surveillance footage captured someone pulling into the church parking lot and breaking into the car to remove the purse, police said.

Later, two individuals were captured on camera attempting to use a credit card from the purse at a Bridgeport store, police said.
