Raymond Pizarro, 21, was charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, failure to drive right and interfering with an officer in the 9:15 p.m. incident, police said.

Police received several 911 calls of a six-vehicle crash in the area of 550 Howe Ave. Upon arrival, officers found a Honda Accord had sideswiped five other cars parked along the southbound lane.

The passenger told police her boyfriend, Pizarro, was driving the vehicle and had fled the scene, police said.

Officers canvassed the area and spotted Pizarro running in the woods nearby, police said. They gave chase and caught him soon after, police said.

He was released on $2,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 17, police said.
