SHELTON, Conn. — A Shelton man was arrested Wednesday after police determined he had sold drugs to a man who was found dead in his home last fall, police said.
Jerome Downing, 39, was charged with two counts of illegal sale of narcotics, police said. He was held on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in Derby Superior Court on Wednesday.
A 37-year-old Shelton man was found dead from an apparent drug overdose in his home on Sept. 17, police said. An autopsy confirmed he had overdosed on a combination of heroin and cocaine. Shelton detectives determined he bought the drugs earlier that day from Downing, police said.
