Shelton Police Seek Suspect In Smash-And-Grab Burglaries

SHELTON, Conn. — Shelton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man they believe is responsible for two smash-and-grab burglaries along Bridgeport Avenue in the last few days.

Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a reported burglary at Hair Do Salon, 821 Bridgeport Ave. Upon arrival they found the front glass window was smashed and an undetermined amount of cash was taken from the register, police said.

Surveillance video showed a heavy-set man with a beard smashing the window with a crow bar, police said.

Linda’s Liquors, 350 Bridgeport Ave., was burglarized in the same manner in the early morning hours of Nov. 27, police said.
