James Aho of Stratford was arrested Thursday by Naugatuck Police on an active warrant in connection with a sexual assault complaint filed on Aug. 6, Naugatuck police said.
An arrest report said Aho is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile victim who is known to him.
He was charged with five counts of sexual assault, five counts of illegal contact with a child under 16, four counts of risk of injury to a child and strangulation.
He is being held on $300,000 bond.
