Biden's name has been floated as a possible Democratic candidate for president in 2020, as reported here by Daily Voice.
On Thursday, it was reported that Biden was the latest target of pipe bomb threats in addition to actor Robert De Niro of New York City, according to multiple reports including this article in The New York Times.

Meanwhile, a new poll by Sacred Heart University and Hearst Connecticut Media released found Lamont of Greenwich and Republican Bob Stefanowski of Madison in a statistical dead heat.
Lamont has a 3.4 percentage point lead over Stefanowski, -- less than the margin of error, according to the poll released on Tuesday.
Last month, a poll by Sacred Heart and Hearst found that Lamont enjoyed a 6.2 percent lead, as reported here by Daily Voice.
In 2014, then-President Barack Obama came to Bridgeport two days before Election Day to endorse Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, who is not seeking re-election.
Obama honored Hayes as Connecticut’s Teacher of the Year in 2016.
After 15 years in the classroom, Hayes, who grew up in public housing, helps train the next generation of Connecticut’s teachers, but she wants to do more, according to her campaign website.
If Hayes defeats the Republican candidate, former Meriden Mayor Manny Santos, she would become the first African-American elected to Congress from the Nutmeg State.
