Car Goes Off Road, Striking Utility Pole In Montebello RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A vehicle struck a utility pole Friday afternoon along Mile Road in Montebello, causing a traffic shutdown that lasted nearly 11 hours, authorities said. The accident occurred around 4 p.m., according to police. The motorist, a resident of the village who was driving a 2016 Subaru, reported the vehicle slid on wet pavement, striking a utility pole and two mail boxes, police said. Assistant Principal At Wilton's Miller-Driscoll School Retiring WILTON, Conn. -- Miller-Driscoll Assistant Principal Sheelah Brown is ending her 30-year tenure at the school Monday, according to the Wilton Bulletin. Brown, who started at the school as a reading specialist in 1987, has been assistant principal since 2001, the Wilton Bulletin reported. Although she is leaving Miller-Driscoll, Brown plans on maintaining another of her positions, that of a consultant with a toy company, according to the Wilton Bulletin.
