The Monroe Police Department issued an alert cautioning that Route 25 will be closed from Brook Street to Knollwood Street, as they install a new box culvert at the Aquarion Reservoir. Police noted that the work zone will extend through the shopping plaza south of Knollwood Street with alternating traffic on Route 25.

The closure will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, and last through 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27. There will be business access provided, police said.

Following this weekend’s shutdown, a second shutdown will be scheduled in the coming weeks, though police noted that it will specifically not be on Labor Day weekend.
